How to recognize false mercy? It is the one that softens and sweetens the Gospel, to the point of making one think that no one will ever go to Hell, that sin does not exist, that Hell does not exist, that it is enough to "believe in Jesus" to be saved, that it is not necessary to abandon sin and seek holiness.
False mercy never speaks of conversion, nor of holiness, nor of purity, nor of repentance, nor of going to the Confessional with the pain of having sinned and the purpose of amendment. With that, it is very easy to identify that false gospel of Satan. Run away from him, don't fall for him!
