THE REASON FOR THE CATHOLIC MASS ACCORDING TO THE MISSAL OF HIS HOLINESS SAINT PIUS V

THE REASON FOR THE CATHOLIC MASS ACCORDING TO THE MISSAL OF HIS HOLINESS SAINT PIUS V

By: Lic. Oscar Méndez Casanueva

The Catholic Mass was codified by His Holiness Saint Pius V in the year 1570. This means that this Pontiff did not invent a rite, but rather established the structure of the Mass while respecting the uninterrupted Tradition of Christ, the Apostles, the Holy Fathers, the first centuries of Christianity, and the preceding Pontiffs. Since its origins go back to the Apostles themselves, it is also known as the Apostolic Mass, or the Tridentine Mass, because this codification resulted from the ordering of the dogmatic Council of Trent.

All Catholic priests of the Latin Rite who were ordained more than thirty years ago celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with this missal, at least until the end of the 1960s, when the liturgical reform took place. This Mass remained in force for many centuries in the Catholic Church and produced great saints and enormous fruits throughout the history of Christendom.

THIS RITE IS IN FORCE

This rite, contrary to what some poorly informed people might think, remains in force because of its centuries-old antiquity, in accordance with Canon 28 of the New Code (Canon 30 of the previous Code), which states that a new law does not revoke centuries-old or immemorial customs unless they are EXPRESSLY mentioned. Since it was not explicitly abrogated in the Apostolic Constitution Missale Romanum of His Holiness Paul VI, the traditional rite—which was praised by Paul VI himself—continues to be in force. Furthermore, His Holiness Saint Pius V, in his Bull QUO PRIMUM, decrees in perpetuity that it may always be used in the Church and that, therefore, no priest may—at any time—be sanctioned for its use. This Bull can easily be found at the beginning of all the missals that priests have used to celebrate this rite. Confirming its full validity, His Holiness Benedict XVI published his motu proprio Summorum Pontificum on July 7, 2007, in order to dispel any pre-existing doubt. Moreover, Cardinal Castrillón, as President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, stated that the Pope's desire was for it to be celebrated in all the parishes of the world, and this had already begun at the Roman Basilica of Saint John Lateran under Cardinal Cañizares.

IT CLEARLY AND MAJESTICALLY EXPRESSES CATHOLIC DOCTRINE

The rite, according to the missal promulgated by Saint Pius V, has demonstrated throughout the centuries that it is a bulwark against doctrinal distortions, because it expresses with complete clarity and beauty the Catholic doctrine of the Mass:

· It is the same and identical sacrifice of Calvary, celebrated in an unbloody manner (without the shedding of blood), in order to apply its saving power to the remission of our sins. It is not merely a commemoration of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but a true and proper sacrifice.

· It is the same priest, Jesus Christ, represented by His minister, who, through his priestly ordination, acts in the person of Christ Himself. In a certain sense, he “lends Christ his tongue and offers Him his hand.”

· It is the same victim of Calvary: the Divine Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Through the double consecration, the mystical separation of the Body and Blood of Christ is represented, while He is wholly present—with His divinity, soul, blood, and body—in the consecrated species. It is therefore not merely a spiritual presence.

The ends are the same:

1) To adore and glorify God
2) To give thanks to God
3) Expiation and Propitiation (Christ offered Himself as a propitiatory victim to make satisfaction for our sins. In the Mass, the fruits of His Redemption are applied).
4) Impetration (to ask God for graces, favors, and blessings).

All this doctrine, infallibly defined and safeguarded by the Catholic Church, is expressed in an exceptionally clear and majestic manner in the liturgy codified by His Holiness Saint Pius V, whose rubrics have for centuries served as a bulwark against error and anarchy in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

THE USE OF LATIN: A SIGN OF UNITY

The use of Latin follows the official language of the Church, the same language used by the Pope in Rome, and represents a sign of unity among Catholics. It is false that its abolition was decreed by Vatican II, which merely recommended the use of the vernacular in certain parts of the liturgy, while its use was especially useful for the readings of the Epistle and the Gospel. Today, when Latin has practically fallen into abusive disuse, the Catholic faithful—contrary to what was intended—do not know what the Mass is. It is enough to ask the faithful for their definition of the Mass and its purposes to witness the tremendous ignorance that exists. When Latin was used throughout the world, no foreigner felt like a stranger at Mass; the faithful learned and understood the ritual through bilingual missals, and there was uniformity among the clergy throughout the world. Furthermore, the serious problems and errors in translations did not arise.

HOW TO RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION:

- In a state of sanctifying grace, through sacramental confession
- Being a member of the body of the Catholic Church
- Dressed modestly
- Kneeling and on the tongue.

At this Mass, Christ is received—in Holy Communion—while kneeling, because if Sacred Scripture prescribes that at His name every knee should bow, it is clear that when receiving His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, this is the outward devotional posture most consistent with an inward attitude of adoration. It is also the posture indicated by Christ in the parable of the Pharisee who proudly prayed standing and the publican who, humbly both inwardly and outwardly, prayed while kneeling. The latter, Christ teaches, was the one who left the temple justified. Furthermore, the faithful—modestly dressed and cleansed of all mortal sin through sacramental confession—receive the sacred Host respectfully on the tongue because they do not have hands consecrated as the priest does; moreover, by not taking the Host in the hand, the falling of consecrated particles (in which Christ is truly present) onto the ground, or any possible profanation, is thereby avoided.

THIS RITE PREVENTS LITURGICAL ANARCHY

Today, when liturgical anarchy is clearly evident to the Catholic faithful, with each priest and each temple adding or removing prayers according to individual discretion; now that the doctrine of the same sacrifice is denied and secondary matters are emphasized in order to silence or deny the fundamental truths of the doctrine of the Holy Sacrifice; today, when we are told that the Mass is merely a memorial, a remembrance, a simple supper, or merely another assembly presided over by a minister, our Catholic conscience requires us to proclaim the true and eternal doctrine infallibly defined by the Church, as well as the due respect and devotion that must exist in the liturgy. We therefore make use of this centuries-old rite, which has demonstrated its effectiveness throughout history in producing fruits of holiness and thus avoiding the liturgical anarchy that, unfortunately, we suffer today. We base ourselves on the authority of the Catholic Church and of the Roman Pontiff, who has permitted and promulgated this Catholic rite in perpetuity.

MANY PRIESTS CELEBRATE WITH THE MISSAL OF SAINT PIUS V

Finally, it is important to consider that not only has it been used throughout the centuries with great fruits, and that the majority of the saints canonized by the Catholic Church celebrated with it or attended this rite, but even after the liturgical reform it continues to be used in almost every country by many Catholic priests.

Thus, for example, we can cite the famous case of Padre Pio, who during his lifetime manifested in his body the very wounds of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and who, in the 1960s, when the precursors of the liturgical reform were introduced, recognizing the dangers that are evident today, maintained the use of the Missal of Saint Pius V. This priest, recognized throughout his life for his holiness, was beatified in 1999 by His Holiness John Paul II. We could cite other cases, but we will only recall that Cardinals Bacci and Ottaviani continued to use it after the liturgical reform until the end of their lives. Cardinal Ottaviani—to whom His Holiness Paul VI referred as “my teacher,” and whom His Holiness John Paul II praised greatly upon his death, pointing to him as an example of “exemplary fidelity” (*)—was highly renowned for his theological knowledge and precisely for his fidelity to the Church. He was, moreover, none other than the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation of the Faith, one of the most important bodies within the Vatican (the same position that would later be held by Cardinal Ratzinger). These eminent cardinals clearly foresaw all the theological and liturgical risks that were approaching—and which are clearly manifested today—and they recorded them in their now-famous document, “A Brief Critical Analysis of the Novus Ordo.”

CONCLUSION:

This fully Catholic rite is recognized for its antiquity within the Church, since it respects the uninterrupted Tradition of Christ, the Apostles, the Holy Fathers, the first centuries of Christianity, and the Roman Pontiffs. Its missal was promulgated by a Pope as the result of a Council and remains fully in force in the Catholic Church. Its fruits of holiness are more than recognized: the majority of canonized saints celebrated with it—if they were priests—or were sanctified through their attendance at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass—if they were laypeople. It clearly and unequivocally manifests the true Catholic doctrine concerning the Holy Mass and has demonstrated its effectiveness against liturgical anarchy, errors, and abuses. It requires from the faithful the due respect and devotion owed to the same and identical sacrifice of Calvary, which is celebrated on the altar so that the fruits of Christ’s Redemption may be applied to us, He being truly and really present with His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the consecrated species.

OUR LADY OF THE BASEMENT

By Óscar Méndez Casanueva

"Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven" (Mt 18:3-4).

There are images that vanish from altars but never from the heart. They are cast aside by an iconoclastic modernism that strips the faithful and their churches of their sacred images—seeking to make them resemble Lutheran sanctuaries—and drains the House of God of its sacred character, transforming it into something akin to a bare Protestant hall. Unnoticed by anyone, these images end up relegated to a corner, gathering dust amidst broken pews, old candelabras, and forgotten boxes. It is an iconoclastic attempt to alter a people's faith and devotion, transforming their very identity and memory by severing the bond with what had nourished their faith for years.

Yet, sacred images possess a mysterious capacity to wait. They do not wait for applause or accolades; they wait for the return of the one who once learned to pray in their presence.

I think of that old statue of the Virgin I used to gaze upon every Sunday as a child. Before her, I learned the Hail Mary, confided my earliest fears, and gave thanks for my first joys. Years passed. Then came the rush of life, changes, moves, and inevitable absences. When I returned to my childhood church as an adult, the image was gone from the altar. When I asked about her, someone replied indifferently: "She’s downstairs, in the basement."

Descending those stairs felt almost like a parable. There, among objects that seemed to have lost all utility, I found the sweet Virgin of my childhood. Dust covered her mantle; the paint was worn; a star was missing.  Yet her face remained the same: serene, maternal, welcoming. There was not the slightest trace of reproach for so many years of abandonment. It seemed to say what it had always said: "Here I am—I am your mother."

I fell to my knees before Her, my eyes clouded with tears, and relived the feelings of my childhood: that steadfast faith, that infinite trust in the Mother, that immense tenderness she awakened in me. And I remembered that I must become like a child again to one day enter the Kingdom.

That iconoclastic onslaught of modernist heresy speaks not only of a religious image; it speaks of us, too. We often relegate to an inner "basement" the very things that once gave meaning to our existence: the simple prayers of childhood, trust in God, the peace of a silent church, the devotion learned from our parents or grandparents. We do not destroy these things; we simply let them get buried under our worries, successes, and disappointments.

But the Virgin possesses a patience that only a mother can have. She does not abandon the child who drifts away. She waits. And when that child, many years later, decides to seek her out, he discovers that She has not changed. The whole world may have changed; modernism may have tainted the faith of many without them even realizing it; the heart may be wearier; life may have left its scars. Yet She remains with the same smile, the same gaze, and the same readiness to welcome the one who returns, reminding us that the deposit of faith is immutable—it does not change or transform according to the times or prevailing tastes. The faith remains the same, just as She remains the same.

There are churches that hold great artistic treasures. Sometimes they are found hidden in a corner or a basement, where an ancient image continues to remind us that true love does not depend on the spotlight. The Virgin will always remain our Mother. Always the same. Always unchanged.

Perhaps we should all, at some point, descend into the "basement" of our memory.  There, amidst memories we thought long forgotten, that first gaze of Mary still awaits us. And perhaps we shall discover, with deep emotion, that it was never She who lost sight of us; it was we who ceased seeking her.

Lady, conqueror of heresies, vanquish the modernist heresy and pray for us, that we may fully regain that vivid faith, that love, and that trust we once placed in you during our childhood. May our Catholic faith remain steadfast despite the world's attempts to undermine it, so that we may remain faithful to Christ until the end of this life.

THE CAUSE OF THE WORST CRISIS THE CHURCH HAS EVER FACED

His Holiness Pius IX warned:

“Catholic liberalism is one foot in truth and one foot in error; one foot in the Church and one foot in the world, one foot with me and one foot with my enemies… What afflicts your country and prevents it from deserving the blessings of Heaven is the confusion of principles. I will speak the word and I will not remain silent: what I fear most for you is not those wretches of the Commune, veritable demons escaped from hell, but Catholic liberalism, that fatal system that always dreams of reconciling two impossible things: the Church and the Revolution. I have already condemned it, but I would condemn it forty times more if necessary. Yes, I say it again because of the love I have for you; yes, this balancing act is what can end up destroying religion among you.”

(Pope Pius IX, Address to the Catholics of France, June 18, 1871).

Saint Pius X also pointed out this great danger:

"Liberal Catholics are wolves in sheep's clothing. And for this reason, the priest, the true priest, must reveal to the people entrusted to his care their dangerous snares and their evil aims."

(Saint Pius X, Address of September 5, 1894, as Cardinal).

We now quote an interview given by Cardinal Ratzinger to Vittorio Messori in November 1984. Regarding the challenges facing the Church at Vatican II, he said:

"The problem of the 1960s was that of acquiring the best values resulting from two centuries of 'liberal' culture. In fact, these are values that, although born outside the Church, can find their place, purified and corrected, in its worldview. That is what has been done."

This clearly shows the strong influence of liberalism and modernism within the Church in the 1960s (and long before); of wheat already influenced and contaminated by the tares. It is the nefarious influence of Maritain. That quote negates the radical condemnation of the papal magisterium of ALL liberalism.

The Commonitorium of St. Vincent of Lérins (a Father of the Church) teaches:

"It belongs to Catholics to preserve the deposit of the holy Fathers, to condemn impious novelties, and, as the Apostle has said time and again, to pronounce anathema (condemnation) upon anyone who proclaims a doctrine different from that received (Gal. 1:9). From this it follows that every Catholic who desires to prove that he is a legitimate son of our Mother the Church must adhere to the holy Faith of our Fathers, cling to it, and die for it. He must also detest impious novelties, hate them, combat them, and persecute them."

The First Vatican Council made it clear that the Magisterium's role is not to innovate, purify, or Christianize the errors of the world, but to preserve and explain the faith received:

“The Holy Spirit was not promised to the successors of Peter so that they might teach new doctrines, but so that they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation handed down by the Apostles.”

Is it clear what the core and cause of the errors that are currently growing like weeds within the Church and causing the worst crisis in its history are?

But the time will come when the Lord will separate the weeds from the wheat, so we must remain faithful to the true faith and to the Catholic Church He founded.

TWELFTH NIGHT

By: Oscar Méndez Cervantes

In the place of honor in the house, the Nativity scene for the Christ Child was a reflection of Glory, in the miraculous simplicity of its brief and meticulously crafted setting.

A gentle bank, on whose slope the Grotto and the Manger seemed—for the soul—a tiny resonating chamber, still trembling from the Christmas carol. Mary and Joseph, in loving adoration. The angelic concert, in impalpable fluttering, among the branches of resinous fragrances. Shepherds and flocks, populating slopes and hollows. Swans, on mirror-like lakes. Traditional huts, rising above the topographical grace of a small precipice.  Beside them, scratching through the carpet of hay and moss, roosters almost as large as the indigenous Xochimilca couple, with their tray of floral offerings and their basket overflowing with fruits that were anything but Palestinian, yet undeniably Mexican. Further on, above the roofs of a shingle-roofed hamlet, the bullfighters' entourage, circling the bull poised to charge, added a touch of festive traditionalism. In a secluded hollow—a reflection of the Sinai of the ascetics—the indispensable hermit pondered the grandeur of the Mystery and the fulfilled prophecies. A noble, shaggy dog stood guard around the hermitic cave, keeping the prowling Evil One at bay: its body and wings stained—in the face of its failed attempts—a ridiculous, bilious green.

And above all, even higher than the spheres of multicolored lights, with a snowy fleece of frost clinging to its celestial tail, the radiant Star pointed to the place of adoration for the imminent and generous arrival of the Three Wise Men.

It was impossible for them to lose their way. Throughout the night of Epiphany, the star rested there, illuminating the sweet and traditional precision of that privileged corner of the home. Therefore, at the foot of the last slopes of the Nativity hill, the children sought refuge, their shoes resting, in anticipation of the—unfailing—gifts from Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar.

And what joyful anticipation filled us when, having delivered the classic begging letter—requesting an exorbitant list of gifts, enough to drain the coffers of all the Eastern kings—we retreated to the seclusion of our childhood beds, and, with the lights out, kept our senses alert and broke our whispers into silence at the slightest nocturnal noise. (“Could it be them?... No, it’s still too early!”) And a little later, we thought we could already discern the stealthy passage of the caravan: camel hooves striking the courtyard tiles, the clinking of silver-plated palfreys, the rustling of silks and purples, legendary, prestigious aromas of desert and oasis…

Finally, weariness overcame our vigilant alertness and closed our eyelids.  Then, sleep filled the room with the most wondrous visions, worthy of that land of plenty so vividly described in fairy tales: rivers of molasses cascading onto the floor; palaces of crystallized sugar where a magical light shattered into enticing iridescence; mechanical toys running noisily before the delight of entire regiments of lead soldiers; the elegant slowness of a sawdust and plush cat; and, on the corner shelf, the celestial notes of a music box serenading dolls with astonished blue eyes… And then, the wooden rifle, and the shadow puppet, and the picture book, and countless other marvels, all glittering, stirred by an indefinable pulse of life…

But the beauty of all those sweet phantasmagoria paled in comparison to the morning confirmation of the Magi's visit.  Ah, our boisterousness, our joy bursting forth in shouts, leaps, and races, with which, at the crack of dawn, we pierced the ears of the grown-ups! Beside the tally of obligatory new gifts lay the miraculous reality of the toy and the sweet treat, and this or that note, handwritten by Gaspar or Melchior, leaving greetings and hugs and promises for the best-behaved children in the coming year. From then on, the day unfolded in an enchanting succession of games and conversations among the children, who never tired of caressing the toy and consuming—in wise pauses—candies and doughnuts…

Blessed is our Tradition, which, in each of its nuances and expressions, from childhood to old age, adorns our lives with the gentle gift of its luminous enchantment!

Preparation to Receive the Saviour of Mankind

Advent, Time of Waiting

Beloved, now is the acceptable time spoken of by the Holy Ghost, the day of salvation, peace and reconciliation: the great season of Advent. This is the time eagerly awaited by the patriarchs and prophets, the time that holy Simeon rejoiced at last to see. This is the season that the Church has always celebrated with special solemnity. We too should always observe it with faith and love, offering praise and thanksgiving to the Father for the mercy and love he has shown us in this mystery. In his infinite love for us, though we were sinners, he sent his only Son to free us from the tyranny of Satan, to summon us to heaven, to welcome us into its innermost recesses, to show us truth itself, to train us in right conduct, to plant within us the seeds of virtue, to enrich us with the treasures of his grace, and to make us children of God and heirs of eternal life.

Each year, as the Church recalls this mystery, she urges us to renew the memory of the great love God has shown us. This holy season teaches us that Christ's coming was not only for the benefit of his contemporaries; his power has still to be communicated to us all. We shall share his power, if, through holy faith and the sacraments, we willingly accept the grace Christ earned for us, and live by that grace and in obedience to Christ.

The Church asks us to understand that Christ, who came once in the flesh, is prepared to come again. When we remove all obstacles to his presence he will come, at any hour and moment, to dwell spiritually in our hearts, bringing with him the riches of his grace.

In her concern for our salvation, our loving mother the Church uses this holy season to teach us through hymns, canticles and other forms of expression, of voice or ritual, used by the Holy Ghost. She shows us how grateful we should be for so great a blessing, and how to gain its benefit: our hearts should be as much prepared for the coming of Christ as if He were still to come into this world. The same lesson is given us for our imitation by the words and example of the holy men of the Old Testament.

From a pastoral letter by St Charles Borromeo, bishop (Acta Ecclesiae Mediolanensis, t. 2, Lugduni, 1683, 916-917)

“If Any Man Come to You And Bring Not This Doctrine (Catholic doctrine), Receive Him Not Into The House Nor Say To Him: God Speed You” (2 Jn. 1:10).

PASTORAL dispositions or acts (as in the case of this video) do not have the prerogative of infallibility that the teachings on faith and morality do when they fulfill all the conditions that the Church demands for it.

- “Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?”
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God: as God saith: I will dwell in them and walk among them. And I will be their God: and they shall be my people.”
“Wherefore: Go out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.”
(2 Cor. 6, 14:17)

- “But the things which the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God. And I would not that you should be made partakers with devils; You cannot drink the chalice of the Lord and the chalice of devils: you cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord and of the table of devils.”
(1 Cor. 10, 20:21)

- No man cometh to the Father, but by Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6). For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He (Christ) was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world (Jn. 1:9). He that followeth Him walketh not in darkness (Jn. 8:12). He that is not with Him, is against Him (Mt. 12:30). He who honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father who hath sent him (Jn. 5:23). To Him the Father hath given all judgment (Jn. 5:22). He that doth not believe is already judged: because he believeth not in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Jn. 3:18). The only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (Jn. 17:3).

- “For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils” (Ps. 95:5).

- God said to Moses: “Destroy their altars, break their statues and cut down their groves (consecrated to their idols). Adore not any strange god. The Lord his name is jealous, he is a jealous God” (Ex. 34, 13:13)

- “If Any Man Come to You And Bring Not This Doctrine (Catholic doctrine), Receive Him Not Into The House.” (Note: This order is not a lack of charity but due to caution). (2 Jn. 1:10).

How, then, does the Pope participated in this video where it is said exactly the opposite to God's Word and where it is proclaimed, furthermore, that it does not matter which side the mountain is climbed on (symbol of life towards Eternity) and that all religions must help each other to "arrive" (sic) at the same time to the summit (it is implicitly understood that this means Heaven), as it is EXPLICITLY indicated that it is necessary to honor ALL false religions?

- “Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. As for you, let that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If that abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning, you also shall abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise which he hath promised us, life everlasting” (1 Jn. 2:22-26).

- St. Athanasius (fourth century): "Everyone who wants to be saved, above all must maintain the Catholic faith; And he who does not keep it whole and inviolable, will surely perish forever.”

Protestantization in the Church

"I also saw worldly and Protestant ecclesiastics in Germany expressing wishes and forming plans for the fusion of religions and for the suppression of papal authority.
And this plan had its promoters among the prelates in Rome! "(AA.III.179)
Visions and Revelations of Ana Catalina Emmerich.

PROTESTANTIZATION IN THE CHURCH

The following are eleven of the steps that have been taken in the process of Protestantization of the Church. They are not the only ones, but some of the most important ones. Naturally, according to the promise of Christ, there will always be a healthy part of the Church that will remain true and completely Catholic and will reject the protestantization that they seek to impose. Everything indicates that the general apostasy announced in the Holy Scripture is in a very advanced process. Notwithstanding all this, we know by faith that eventually the Church will triumph.

1.- Six Protestant pastors were allowed to collaborate with Archbishop Anibal Bugnini (later accused of being a Mason and exiled as a diplomat pro-nuncio in Iran for the same reason) in the elaboration of the new rite of Mass (imposed in 1969) from which it was suppressed the Catholic theology which bothered the so-called "separated brothers”, and a new rite was created which, according to Cardinal Bacci and Cardinal Ottaviani (Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith), "departs dramatically as a whole and in detail from the Catholic theology of the Holy Mass as formulated by the 20th session of the Council of Trent which, by fixing the ‘canons’ of the rite, raised an insurmountable barrier against any heresy that could infringe upon the integrity of the Mystery.”
2. After this, several Protestant pastors declared to be able to "celebrate" their Dinner with the same rite of the new Mass as the theological obstacles that this secular rite (the traditional Mass) presented against their heresies had disappeared. Bishop Bugnini acknowledges that the liturgical reform was carried out with an "ecumenical" intention to please Protestants.
3.- From November 1969 onwards it was prohibited (against all Law, since it was never abolished) IN THE PRACTICE the celebration of the Traditional Mass with people, and those who celebrate it are persecuted, harassed and / or punished.
4. In the last decades, in contravention of the traditional doctrine as well as the dispositions of Pius XI (encyclical Mortalium Animos), multiple ecumenical acts, like those made in Assisi, have been carried out.
5. – It was spread in the Church the extremely serious mistake that the Protestant sects are also ways of salvation and that they make up (together with the Orthodox and Catholics) the Church of Christ, thus ignoring the dogmatic truth (which was always preached by the Church) that indicates that the only Church of Christ is the Catholic Church and this is the only true way of salvation.
6.- Until 2007, after three pontificates, Benedict XVI recognized that the traditional rite of the Mass was never abolished and that any priest has the right to use it. Nevertheless, many bishops - contrary to all Law - continue to avoid it in their dioceses and excluding those who attempt to celebrate it.
7. In October 2016, a statue of Luther presided over the papal audience. There a group of Protestants delivered a luxurious book with the theses of Luther to Pope Francis who received it smiling and gratefully.
8.- Days later, Pope Francis went to Sweden to pay homage to Luther and to commemorate - with the Lutherans - the (badly called) Protestant Reformation. He refers to the blasphemous heresiarch with these words in the Lutheran cathedral of Lund: "Luther found that merciful God in the Good News of Jesus Christ" (31-X-16). There he signed a Declaration that says: "We are deeply grateful for the spiritual and theological gifts received through the (Lutheran) Reformation."
9. On the eve of the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, the Pontifical Council for the Union of Christians issued a document on the new relations between Catholics and Lutherans. There we learned that "Separating what is controversial from the good things of the Reformation, Catholics are now able to lend their ears to Luther's challenges to today’s Church, recognizing him as a “witness of the gospel.”
10. In January 2017, Francis stated that, according to him, the intention of Martin Luther, five hundred years ago, "was to renew the Church, not to divide it" and that "at the same time we have alive in our hearts the sincere repentance [Sic] for our sins [Sic]”. And he congratulated Cardinal Kurt Koch (see video below), president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, for his article in L'Osservatore Romano, where he noted: "(Luther) had in mind the renewal of the whole Christianity in the spirit of the Gospel ... in the Second Vatican Council, Martin Luther would have ‘found his own council’”. In 2012, when Koch still spoke as a Catholic, said that the Church would not celebrate Luther's schism in 2017 because the Church "cannot celebrate a sin."
11.- The Holy See announced that it will create a postal stamp with the figure of the heresiarch to commemorate the 500 years of his schism (which it improperly calls "Reformation"). Surely we will see acceleration of this process of protestantization in 2017, on the occasion of this "commemoration." It is rumored that if the door to sacrilege has already been opened so that - in certain cases - the divorced living in an adulterous union can receive Communion, the same door will also be opened to Protestants without having to convert.

There is much talk of "mercy", but sanctions and threats have already begun for those who oppose sacrilege and the protestantization of the Church. In fact, giving Communion to the divorced living in a new union is a significant step in that direction and an endorsement of Protestant customs. Thus, on January 16, the bishop of Pereira, Colombia, Rigoberto Corredor, suspended priest Luis Carlos Uribe Medina a divinis for rejecting the heterodox pastoral care derived from "Amoris Laetitia" (exhortation whose theses were already written 10 years ago by the Argentine priest Víctor Manuel Fernández, good friend of the then cardinal Bergoglio and that were transcribed after two useless and onerous synods, being that the theses were already predetermined). On the other hand, Bishop Mario Grech of the Diocese of Gozo, Malta, is saying that he will strip all priests of their priestly faculties if they do not follow their new guidelines (which state that: "If ... a separated or divorced person who is living in a new relationship can ... recognize and believe that he or she is at peace with God, cannot be excluded from participation in the sacraments of Confession and Eucharist"), which contradict the dogmatic and immutable doctrine of the Church and the immovable discipline intimately derived from it, established in Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law, which orders that "those who obstinately persist in a manifest grave sin should not be admitted to Holy Communion." This judgment is based on the objective situation of the couple, called external jurisdiction, and is completely independent of their subjective feeling of guilt, which is part of what is called the internal jurisdiction.

As can be seen, persecution and invalid canonical sanctions are intended to be applied again, as when the same process was unjustly carried out with those who defended the traditional Mass and persevered in celebrating a rite that remained in force (decreed in perpetuity by Saint Pius V), as many years later Benedict XVI would recognize.

The process of protestantization is progressively accelerating, in fact in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and in the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, even though they retain their holders, they have made redundant – (on 2016) those elements that were opposed to this process. The same happened with Cardinal Burke for objecting in the synods that the Eucharist was sacrilegiously bestowed upon the divorced living in new unions. For this reason he was discharged as Prefect of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura and banished from Rome as patron of the Sovereign Order of Malta to which the Holy See also threatened as they did with the Franciscans of the Immaculate who had become "too" traditional.

Everything points to the beginning of the great apostasy. Those who realize this thank God and ask Him for the grace to remain faithful until the end, for during this process the number of deserters will be large and, abhorring what they believed, they will even imagine doing so in the name of God. Many of the faithful and clerics have already become modernists and have protestantized themselves (to a greater or lesser degree) without even noticing it, for when someone has been living for a long time in the midst of bad smells, stops noticing them. That process will be gradual and inadvertent , like that of the frog that dies boiled because the water in which it is in, heats gradually. Scripture prophesies that this apostasy will be universal. That is, only a few will keep faith and fidelity to the Catholic Church. It will be a true grace of God and an effect of their prayers and of their strong and good will, for they must overcome a thousand temptations (among them: social pressure, intellectual pride, self-judgment, rebellion to God under the pretext of obedience to authority - which is the master blow of Satan - fatigue in the struggle, etc.) that the Evil One will put in front of them to divert them. Let us be alert and pray much to preserve that whole faith and to defend catholicity.

Let us always keep in mind Saint Paul's warning: "But if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preached to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be ANATHEMA" Galatians 1: 8.

Come, Lord Jesus.

COMMENT TO THE VIDEO:
The Truth and the error are not in parity to "rediscover" anything. The Catholic Church has the whole of the Gospel; it is heresy that must cease in order to truly come to Christ and discover Him in His entirety. Not making heretics see this is gravely contrary to the charity that must watch over the salvation of their souls. The mission of the Church is to save souls and to make them see with charity the wrongs of their mistakes and to preach to them the immutable Truth that has as a divine deposit, attracting them to the true and unique Church of Christ: the Catholic founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ on the rock of Peter. The order of Christ was, "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to ALL CREATURES: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16: 15-16). But now, contrary to this, in the name of false ecumenism it is said that all proselytism is outlawed.

The Great Apostasy

  • “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing anymore but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.” (Mt. 5, 13)
  • “Can the blind lead the blind? Do they not both fall into the ditch?” (Lk. 6, 39)
  • Without the predominant apostasy of the clergy, there would be no such thing as the universal apostasy prophesied in the Word of God.

If in certain cases, Communion is allowed to divorced faithful who have remarried, therefore living publicly in sin (Amoris Laetitia), if the sacraments are given to those who have decided to apply euthanasia by attacking - as homicidal - against their life*, more and more the doors will be opened to other sacrileges - in other cases of grave offenses against the Commandments of God - of those who live in constant mortal sin, without repenting or changing their lives and receive Communion unworthily. It begins by opening a crack to the doctrinal heresy against the Word of God and the abominable sacrilegious practice, and then opening it more and more until, finally, it is totally open. To complete the betrayal, they will end up offering the Body of Christ not only to hardened sinners but also to those who do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety. It is the new betrayal of Christ that leads to the general apostasy prophesied in the Holy Scriptures. Christ said: "When I return to the earth, do you think I will find faith?" Lk 18,8.

Will you allow yourself dear friend-reader to be guided by the blind who, in such a case, will lead you to the eternal precipice? There are blind guides who sin by omission (those who remain silent and tolerate) and some who sin by action (those who promote and approve of heresy and sacrilege). Both participate, in different ways, in this new betrayal of Christ. Therefore they only speak of "mercy" (without need of repentance, purpose of amendment, Confession and penance) and little or nothing of sin, nor of Hell for those who die unrepentant in their grave sins.

* NOTE: The new and sacrilegious pastoral directives of the Canadian Dioceses of the Atlantic allow - without any right - for priests to give Communion, Extreme Unction and absolve from their sins those who intend to commit suicide with medical assistance, according to Canadian law. The decision will be taken by each priest, after a "pastoral meeting" with the interested party and his family.

The Silent Bell and the Fate of the Frog

The Silent Bell and the Fate of the Frog

By Oscar Méndez Casanueva

A french philosopher, when looking back at his childhood, remembered that there used to be in his town a small convent, which by the daily ringing of a small bell made itself present. Over the years, the bell stopped ringing. One day he found out, to his surprise, that the bell had never stopped chiming, what really happened was that the town had grown and was swallowed by “modernity” and noise.

Certainly, something very similar happens in man’s heart. The voice of God and his grace, which we could hear and live so clearly during our childhood, are buried progressively under all the bustle and difficulties we encounter in our adult lives, especially in a world so rationalistic and petulant.

This process begins during adolescence, and gain its strength during our youth. Behind it there is an alienating machinery which contributes to the formation of homogeneous mentalities that distance man from God under the pretext of a non-religious formation – which, is really an atheist formation – and a “scientifistic” tendency. Never has it been truer that a little science takes one away from God; much and real science get the creature closer to its Creator.

Schools and universities spread knowledge and techniques, but they forget about the spirit and the axiological formation of man. They do not have a scale of values, and not only that, but what is even worse: they ridicule and mock the highest moral values and label all religious beliefs as superstitious.

And the media is not better. The great majority use the old tactic of two steps forward and one step backward, with the aim of eliminating Catholicism permanently.

Film and television, with their great influence on the creation of criteria and mentalities, have formed entire generations of hedonists without an intellectual judgment. Sex, violence, comfort and corruption, in all their different forms, bombard their passive receptors.

And that without mentioning the videos, magazines and “stories” – especially aimed at the most popular sectors – where vulgarity has reached, over the past few years, unlimited proportions. And, also, the every cruder and despicable pornography, which can be found in an overwhelming number of households – within reach of children and adults – via Internet.

This whole program of “decatholicization” that strikes ever more rapidly the entire population, creates a society without values, drifted away from God and unconcerned with counteracting against this offensive that currently takes up the banner of “gender ideology”. What is amazing is that this same society, which complains so much about the corruption and uncontrollable crime it suffers, not only does not act, but cannot even begin to guess the real root of all its evils. Indeed, society is suffering the same fate of the frog: it is said that if this animal is put in a pot with very hot water, it will immediately jump out trying to escape. Instead, if it is put in a pot with cold water and the water gets hot little by little, over low heat, the frog will stay there calmly, until it is boiled to death.

Exaclty the same has happened with the decatholicization of our society, which is living the fate of the frog.

Such an alienating social process that takes man away from the transcendental truth, and causes him to forget, if not even ignore, his ultimate goal, can only be explained by a sum of manipulated and broken wills, but which nevertheless are guilty because of their acts of rejection of God. Because while it is true that it is a great gift of God to believe in Him in the first place, to persevere in faith above all the difficulties present in the world we live in today, is also an immense gift.

While faith and faithfulness to God and His Church are a gift of God, they also come from a personal determination. He who does not want to believe cannot believe. He who wants to believe, will only be able to do so if he receives this grace from Above. God never denies this gift to those who ask for it and wish it truthfully, but He refuses to give it to those who, in the depths of their reality, do not seek it really. The grace of faith can happen in an instant, like a spark, but the grace of perseverance must be earned through daily prayer and effort. Otherwise, when the soul shuts down – to some extent – to God, faith may be lost, even if it is by denying one single article of the Creed. God is zealous: all or nothing, because He does not compromise.

It is the tragedy of all tragedies that of the unfaithful man who loses God and the sense of the supernatural. His is an internal world that, on the one hand, he tries to disguise as sufficiency before everyone else, and on the other hand, tries to fill it with things that mitigate that desolation and emptiness. And he seeks to silence this tragedy using thousands of means: money, honors, power, knowledge, art, etc.

Finally, mature faith is an internal and supernatural perception of the reality believed. It means to live the truths that once were “only believed”. It is deep, vital and impossible to be confused with merely intellectual convictions. It is the faith that makes the martyrs give their lives for Christ, or the missionaries work until exhaustion, forgetting about themselves in order to evangelize others.

It is therefore necessary to reflect on all this: How many of us have stopped hearing that clear voice of God that we could hear in our childhood, just as happened with the bell of the convent in that small town? Those experiences, the love of God, the unique experience of our First Communion - so intimate and real - the study of our religion… what happened to that? Did we forget to continue our instruction as adults, and now feel that the teachings we received in our childhood are not enough? Did we get swallowed by doubts, noise, endeavors, skepticism, “modernity”, and stopped hearing the voice of God, forgetting that the grace of perseverance is gained through our daily effort and prayer? Finally: Are we meekly waiting for the water to heat slowly until we are boiled to death like the frog? This is, indeed, a sad fate, and yet it is not even close to that last and transcendental fate that those who reject God suffer!

The only effective solution

That what is profane is also mundane, that is, everything that distances from the spiritual and higher issues. Holiness is the life of sanctifying grace in our souls. We are all called to be saints, to live in God’s grace, so that, one day we may reach eternal bliss together with our Creator. Many believe that holiness lies only in the heroic practice of the virtues, however, anyone who lives in a state of grace is already leading a saintly life. Holiness is not something unattainable.

Sanctification is a process through which the believer, who accepts and keeps intact the faith that he/her has received, grows steadily in holiness by the continuous action of the Holy Ghost, which begins with his/her incorporation to the Church through the Sacrament of Baptism, and extends until death. Holiness implies getting away from everything that is sinful, and that contaminates both the body and soul, also, behaving in a saintly manner in all aspects of our life and in our relationships with others, getting away from evil and dedicating our entire life, within our means, to God and to serve Him faithfully. The frequent use of the Sacraments, prayer, penance, and the practice of the virtues will increase this process.

Saint Paul tells us: “Therefore, brethren, stand fast in the faith: and hold the traditions, or doctrines, which you have learned.” (2 Thessalonians 2:14) and he also states: “But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end life everlasting.” (Romans 6:22).

Therefore, the real solution is to convert to God, adjusting our hearts and will to God’s will, and refraining from making the Church worldly or adapting her to the world, which is one of the enemies of our souls, together with the flesh and the devil. The Divine teaching and the deposit of Faith must not be adapted to the criteria and currents of the world, instead we must turn our hearts to God and accept and follow His doctrine and laws. G. K. Chesterton said: “The Church must move the world, rather than moving with the world.” Let us transform hearts instead of deforming the Church!

By standing fast in the faith we have received and acting in keeping with it, one day we will attain the joy of living with God eternally. Therein lies the only and true solution.

False Churches = False Religions

Pope Francis intends to participate in a joint ceremony between the Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation on October 31, 2016, date on which it is celebrated the arguable, and for some people, mythical event where the Catholic ex priest Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis against the Catholic Church on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, who in 2012 had declared, with reference to the Anniversary of the Reformation, that there was nothing to celebrate, for “we cannot celebrate a sin”, and then in 2014 reiterated once again the same truth, has now adapted to the new times and stated that: “By concentrating together on the centrality of the question of God and on a Christocentric approach, Lutherans and Catholics will have the possibility of an ecumenical commemoration of the Reformation, not simply in a pragmatic way, but in the deep sense of faith in the crucified and resurrected Christ."

While the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ, true God and true man, in A.D. 33, in the day of Pentecost (Matthew 16: 18-19 and Acts 2), all the false religions that separated from her through schism and heresy were sects created by man. Such is the case of the heretical German monk, who died hating the Church from which he had separated, and dragged countless souls by creating his own sect, from which, in turn, thousands of other sects would be invented (because the Truth is ONE and only whereas error is plural).

In 1883, Blessed Sister Maria Serafina Micheli (1849-1911) had an apparition while praying: Her Guardian Angel appeared to her and said: “I want you to see where Martin Luther is in Hell and the pain he suffers as a punishment for his pride.” After these words, she saw a terrible abyss of fire where Luther was tormented. As at that time it was being celebrated in Saxony the 400th anniversary of the heresiarch’s birth, the sister thought that if people saw the dramatic scene that she had seen they would neither honor nor commemorate and celebrate such an evil character. She was convinced that Martin Luther was being punished in Hell especially for the first deadly sin of pride, which caused him to commit a mortal sin and led him to open rebellion against the Catholic Church. His behavior, his attitude towards the Church, and his preaching were crucial to encourage and bring many unwary and superficial souls to eternal ruin and wrong.

For his part, Fr. Stefano Manelli, founder of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, has remarked, in Il Settimanale di Padre Pio (January 20, 2013) that Padre Pio thought the same way about Luther being in Hell, and warned that those who think they can speak directly with God, as Luther did, were also on the way to Hell. Luther's end was horrible and frightening, Fr. Manelli writes based on what Padre Pio said, but this will also be the same history of many Christians and Catholics who believe in the teachings of Luther, he adds.

There is no reason to celebrate the separation of the false churches from the one and only Church of Christ. Is error and leading thousands and thousands outside the path of salvation a cause of joy and celebration? Are people to celebrate now, in the name of a false ecumenism that does not convert anyone, the main anniversaries and feasts of these false religions, and with that their betrayal to Christ?

With all due respect, and without judging anyone’s inner intentions, it has to be said that this event is inconceivable and unbelievable. Never, in the history of the Church, has there been a Pope who thought of accepting something so implausible.

Down below there is a chart that contains all the false sects that call themselves “Christians”. Following the logic above-mentioned, the same should be done for all the other sects so to avoid them feeling discriminated against.

RECEIVING COMMUNION WITHOUT GOING TO CONFESSION?

EMPTY CONFESSIONALS

By Oscar Méndez Casanueva

Saint Paul warns us in the following divinely inspired passage: “He that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.” (1 Co. 11:29).

That is why it is necessary to have a soul cleansed from all sin to receive Christ. Thus, Confession is necessary, too, for anyone conscious of being in a state of mortal sin. Receiving the body and blood of Christ in Communion without being forgiven first through the sacrament of Confession is a most grave sin called sacrilege. Anyone who is in a state of mortal sin or who is not in a state of sanctifying grace (which is attained by personal absolution in the Sacramental Confession), and lives in such a state without going to Confession or confessing wrongly, without true repentance and intention of avoiding sin; (i.e. without contrition and purpose of amendment) and dares to receive Holy Communion, is “eating and drinking his own damnation”.

Those who do not believe in or obey the morals taught by the Catholic Church and those who do not desire to follow the moral laws that God demands and the Magisterium guards, should not, under any pretext, receive the Holy Eucharist.

Therefore, it is essential to be in the state of sanctifying grace to receive Communion. How important it is for us to live in God’s grace and to receive Communion frequently! But just as important it is to do it complying with the necessary requirements and with great love of God, being aware that it is precisely God whom we are receiving in the consecrated Host. Let us receive our Creator and Redeemer for what He is: Our God and Savior, our King and Lord.

It is very sad to see how many people live conformed to the world and in a way that is contrary to the Law of God, and without changing their lifestyle nor going to Confession, they receive the living God, present in the Host, without discernment of what they are doing and regardless of what God has to say about it, only for appearances’ sake. It is the wretched ‘modernism’ that has pervaded them, it is the lack of awareness of what it means to receive God, it is the desire of remaining living in their errors and in their life of sin, believing in a false and ‘soft’ God made to their state and convenience.

How sad it is, too, to see that many ‘modernist’ priests no longer teach this Catholic doctrine and through their silence become accomplices in the sacrilege. There is in them a great amount of guilt and God will hold them accountable for that. The ignorance of some faithful will be a mitigating factor (when it is not culpable ignorance), but this will not be the case for priests, who are well-instructed but choose to remain silent in order to accommodate with the world or due to having a weak faith or lack of pastoral zeal and scarce love for the sheep entrusted to them.

There is an urgent need for priests to teach and talk again about this very much forgotten or even unknown doctrine, especially amongst the new generations. If no one follows it anymore, would it be so hard for them to remind it to us, albeit briefly, in every liturgical celebration?

It is contrasting to see so many communicants and so many empty confessionals. Are they really in a state of grace without having to go to Confession first? Without attempting to intrude on anyone’s conscience, this does not add up and it shows us the tremendous reality and significance of this fact. Or, can it really be possible for someone to live for years and years without committing a single mortal sin? This can certainly be the case for some good souls, but how many good souls are there? Only God knows the answer to that question. Even if this were the case for some people, they need to remember the precept of going to Sacramental Confession at least once a year. Or perhaps, all of those who have not gone to Confession for months or even for years have their conscience clean from any mortal sin so that they can assume they are in a state of grace to receive Christ alive and truly present in the Eucharist? Maybe all those priests who are not routinely available anymore at the confessionals contribute to this evil.

On the part of many priests: Omission of teaching this doctrine in addition to very little or no time at all in the confessionals.

On the part of a great number of faithful: Little instruction, which generates, in many cases, culpable ignorance. In other cases, a terrible neglect for matters concerning God and a life in accordance with the maxims of the world, accommodating moral laws and God and the Church’s teachings with their own whims and personal criteria. All the aforementioned lead to sacrilegious Communion, which makes them eat and drink their own damnation.

In both instances: A multitude receiving Communion and the confessionals… empty!
