THE MEANING OF DOGMAS CAN NEVER CHANGE OR BE CONTRADICTED
Vatican Council I, in the Constitution Dei Filius, chap. 4, declared:
“For, the doctrine of faith which God revealed has not been handed down as a philosophic invention to the human mind to be perfected, but has been entrusted as a divine deposit to the Spouse of Christ, to be faithfully guarded and infallibly interpreted. Hence, also, that understanding of its sacred dogmas must be perpetually retained, which Holy Mother Church has once declared; and there must never be recession from that meaning under the specious name of a deeper understanding.”
Then, in Canon 3 on faith and reason, it says: “If anyone says that it is possible that at some time, given the advancement of knowledge, a sense may be assigned to the dogmas propounded by the church which is different from that which the church has understood and understands: let him be anathema.”

THE DEFINITION OF DOGMS IS PERPETUAL
“For the doctrine of faith that God has revealed has not been proposed like a philosophical system to be perfected by human ingenuity; rather, it has been committed to the spouse of Christ as a divine trust to be faithfully kept and infallibly declared. Hence also that meaning of the sacred dogmas is perpetually to be retained which Our Holy Mother Church has once declared, and there must never be a deviation from that meaning on the specious ground and title of a more profound understanding.”
(D, 1800) (VATICAN COUNCIL I).

Today is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
On November 1, 1950, Pius XII defined the Assumption of Mary to be a dogma of faith: “We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.”

DOGMA MUST NOT BE CONCEALED NOR ITS MEANING CHANGED: H.H. Leo XIII
LET THAT BE UNDERSTOOD, MODERNISTS!
“Let it be far from anyone's mind to suppress for any reason any doctrine that has been handed down. Such a policy would tend rather to separate Catholics from the Church than to bring in those who differ.” (Leo XIII. Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae)
