HOW OUR PRAYERS SHOULD BE

 - Sometimes God allows everything to get dark, without a solution, because afterwards He will allow everything to shine with an unexpected solution.

 - If through prayer we immediately get what we ask for, piety would become a business.

 - Pray, ask, insist, over and over again, don't give up. If God sees it fit, He will grant it to you at the right time, but don't to believe that you know perfectly well what is best and when it should happen. Don't compete with the vision of the all-knowing. Surrender confidently to His Will. And bless Him always. He loves you sweetly and watches over you.

ONLY ONE FAITH IS TRUE

Pope Gregory XVI:

Now We consider another abundant source of the evils with which the Church is afflicted at present: indifferentism. This perverse opinion is spread on all sides by the fraud of the wicked who claim that it is possible to obtain the eternal salvation of the soul by the profession of any kind of religion, as long as morality is maintained. [...] With the admonition of the apostle that “there is one God, one faith, one baptism” may those fear who contrive the notion that the safe harbor of salvation is open to persons of any religion whatever. They should consider the testimony of Christ Himself that “those who are not with Christ are against Him,” and that they disperse unhappily who do not gather with Him. Therefore “without a doubt, they will perish forever, unless they hold the Catholic faith whole and inviolate.”

Encyclical Mirari vos, N. 9, August 15, 1832.

PRAYER TO THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS

Oh Most Precious Blood of Jesus, Please save us.
Oh Most Precious Blood of Jesus, Please cleanse us.
Oh Most Precious Blood of Jesus, Please draw our soul near to Thee, Never let us part from Thee.
Oh, Good Jesus, the life and strength of all those who have faith in Thee, Please have mercy on us.

July is the month of the Precious Blood. The feast was instituted in 1849, but the devotion is as old as Christianity. The early Fathers say that the church was born for the pierced side of Christ and that the Sacraments were brought forth through His Blood.

In Catholic belief, the Blood of Jesus is precious because it is Christ's own great ransom paid for the redemption of mankind. Jesus is said to have given His life - His Blood for the sake of all humanity, in atoning for every form of human sin. The Precious Blood is a call to repentance and reparation.

ABOUT TOLERANCE

There is no other subject on which the average mind is so much confused as the subject of tolerance and intolerance. Tolerance is always supposed to be desirable because it is taken to be synonymous with broadmindedness. Intolerance is always supposed to be undesirable, because it is taken to be synonymous with narrow-mindedness. This is not true, for tolerance and intolerance apply to two totally different things. Tolerance applies only to persons, but never to principles. Intolerance applies only to principles, but never to persons. We must be tolerant to persons because they are human; we must be intolerant about principles because they are divine. We must be tolerant to the erring, because ignorance may have led them astray; but we must be intolerant to the error, because Truth is not our making, but God's...

HOLY HEART OF JESUS

O most Holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore Thee, I love Thee, and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer Thee this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to Thy will.

THE SAME CAUSES PRODUCE THE SAME EFFECTS

“Do you want to correct yourself of your faults? Anticipate to and avoid the occasions in which you have fallen; if you do not do this, the same causes will produce the same effects. Examine your life and you will see that the occasions and the dangerous companies are the ones that, every day, make you relapse into the same sins. A sailor does not approach but trembling to the place where before he was shipwrecked; a convalescent does not even dare to touch the fruit that made him sick; only the sinner looks for the occasions that lost him. What need is there to go somewhere, where each day it is necessary to overcome or perish?”

 Saint Jerome
