Catholics Must Not Be Dumb Dogs, but Brave Guardians

Let's be like stones that cry out against lukewarmness and coward silences. As Saint Anthony Mary Claret said:

"Ah, my Mother, I cannot still my voice on such occasions. No, I shall not be silent, even if I knewi meant that I should be cut to pieces. I shall shout, cry out, lift up my voice to heaven and earth to remedy so great an evil. I shall not be silent, and when my voice is hoarse or mute from all my crying I shall lift up my hands to heaven, make my hair stand on end, and stamp my feet upon the ground tom up for my lack of speech... Perhaps you will say that they, sick madmen that they are, will not listen to the one who wishes to heal them and would rather despise me and persecute me to the death. It matters not".

Prayer

Grant, we beseech Thee, almighty God, that Thy Faithful, calling upon the Name of the Virgin Mary and rejoicing in her protection, may, by her motherly intercession, be delivered from the evils of the earth and advance to the eternal happiness of heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Sin of Calumny

Do not believe anything you are not completely sure it is true. Calumny is a grave sin against the Law of God and against the good reputation of our neighbor. Those who commit this sin are obliged to repair the harm caused, but since calumnies tend to spread like wildfire, it is very difficult to fully repair the damage. How many souls have to purge this sin before seeing God, and how many others are eternally condemned for not having repented of the calumnies they spread!

On many occasions, over time, the falsity of the calumny is proved and it becomes like thrown mud: the sun rises, and the mud dries and falls. What remains is the terrible fame and reputation of those who maliciously uttered them. Spreading them is an evil and a vile act. A true Catholic will never use a mean so vile and contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ, his Master, who preached that the love between Catholics was the genuine hallmark of His true Apostles.

For the love of God and of their neighbor, Christians should never fabricate calumnies, nor take for granted or spread assumptions –rash judgments- against third parties. Neither believe nor repeat the things that others say without even knowing if they are true. The calumniator always has a fertile imagination, let us not fall into their traps. If it is a grave sin to spread, without necessity, the sins and flaws of our neighbor, imagine how grave it is to spread calumnies. We must repair the harm we caused with tlhem if we want to be forgiven by God.

VANITY

Vanity is searching for transitory riches and  your hope in them.

Vanity is to seek honour and social advancement.

Vanity is following the desires of the flesh and desiring that for which you must later be severely punished.

Vanity is to desire a long life and to have little concern for a good life.

Vanity is to only see the present life and not to provide for the future.

Vanity is to love that which passes quickly and not hasten towards that where eternal joy is to be found.

Thomas Kempis

The Heart of Jesus that Has Loved Us so Much Tells Us

Come to Me, all you who are exhausted by labors and crushed with sorrows; only in Me will you find true consolation in this life and eternal happiness after your death, for I am Love.

Let’s not Forget that the Month of June is Dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The promotion of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is due to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque, to whom Jesus appeared saying these words: "Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt they have for me in this sacrament of love.”

Our Lord made to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque the following promises for all the devotees of His Sacred Heart:

1. I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
2. I will establish peace in their homes.
3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
4. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.
5. I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.
6. Sinners will find in my Heart the source and an infinite ocean of mercy.
7. Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
9. I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honored.
10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
11. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart.
12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

There are three conditions to obtain these Graces:

1. Receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months and without interruption.
2. To have the intention of honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of obtaining the grace of final perseverance.
3. Offer each Holy Communion as an act of reparation for the offenses committed against the Blessed Sacrament.

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Saint Margaret Mary

I (N.), give and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person, my life, my actions, my pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being save to honor, love, and glorify the Sacred Heart. It is my unchanging intention to be all His and to do all for love of Him. I renounce at the same time with all my heart whatever can displease Him.

I, therefore, take You, O Sacred Heart, for the only object of my love, the protector of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for the faults of my life, and the secure refuge at the hour of my death.

Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the punishment of His just anger. O Heart of love, I put my confidence in You, because I fear everything from my own sinfulness and weakness. I hope for all things from Your mercy and generosity.

Destroy in me all that can displease or resist Your holy Will. Let Your pure love impress You so deeply upon my heart that I may never forget You or be separated from You. May my name, by your loving kindness, be written In You, because in You I desire to place all my happiness and all my glory in living and dying in very bondage to you.

Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You!
Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation!

"We Shall Have within Us the Strength of the Paraclete"

"One thing alone I know,—that according to our need, so will be our strength. One thing I am sure of, that the more the enemy rages against us, so much the more will the Saints in Heaven plead for us; the more fearful are our trials from the world, the more present to us will be our Mother Mary, and our good Patrons and Angel Guardians; the more malicious are the devices of men against us, the louder cry of supplication will ascend from the bosom of the whole Church to God for us. We shall not be left orphans; we shall have within us the strength of the Paraclete, promised to the Church and to every member of it."
