Preparation to Receive the Saviour of Mankind

Advent, Time of Waiting

Beloved, now is the acceptable time spoken of by the Holy Ghost, the day of salvation, peace and reconciliation: the great season of Advent. This is the time eagerly awaited by the patriarchs and prophets, the time that holy Simeon rejoiced at last to see. This is the season that the Church has always celebrated with special solemnity. We too should always observe it with faith and love, offering praise and thanksgiving to the Father for the mercy and love he has shown us in this mystery. In his infinite love for us, though we were sinners, he sent his only Son to free us from the tyranny of Satan, to summon us to heaven, to welcome us into its innermost recesses, to show us truth itself, to train us in right conduct, to plant within us the seeds of virtue, to enrich us with the treasures of his grace, and to make us children of God and heirs of eternal life.

Each year, as the Church recalls this mystery, she urges us to renew the memory of the great love God has shown us. This holy season teaches us that Christ's coming was not only for the benefit of his contemporaries; his power has still to be communicated to us all. We shall share his power, if, through holy faith and the sacraments, we willingly accept the grace Christ earned for us, and live by that grace and in obedience to Christ.

The Church asks us to understand that Christ, who came once in the flesh, is prepared to come again. When we remove all obstacles to his presence he will come, at any hour and moment, to dwell spiritually in our hearts, bringing with him the riches of his grace.

In her concern for our salvation, our loving mother the Church uses this holy season to teach us through hymns, canticles and other forms of expression, of voice or ritual, used by the Holy Ghost. She shows us how grateful we should be for so great a blessing, and how to gain its benefit: our hearts should be as much prepared for the coming of Christ as if He were still to come into this world. The same lesson is given us for our imitation by the words and example of the holy men of the Old Testament.

From a pastoral letter by St Charles Borromeo, bishop (Acta Ecclesiae Mediolanensis, t. 2, Lugduni, 1683, 916-917)

“If Any Man Come to You And Bring Not This Doctrine (Catholic doctrine), Receive Him Not Into The House Nor Say To Him: God Speed You” (2 Jn. 1:10).

PASTORAL dispositions or acts (as in the case of this video) do not have the prerogative of infallibility that the teachings on faith and morality do when they fulfill all the conditions that the Church demands for it.

- “Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?”
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God: as God saith: I will dwell in them and walk among them. And I will be their God: and they shall be my people.”
“Wherefore: Go out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.”
(2 Cor. 6, 14:17)

- “But the things which the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God. And I would not that you should be made partakers with devils; You cannot drink the chalice of the Lord and the chalice of devils: you cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord and of the table of devils.”
(1 Cor. 10, 20:21)

- No man cometh to the Father, but by Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6). For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He (Christ) was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world (Jn. 1:9). He that followeth Him walketh not in darkness (Jn. 8:12). He that is not with Him, is against Him (Mt. 12:30). He who honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father who hath sent him (Jn. 5:23). To Him the Father hath given all judgment (Jn. 5:22). He that doth not believe is already judged: because he believeth not in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Jn. 3:18). The only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (Jn. 17:3).

- “For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils” (Ps. 95:5).

- God said to Moses: “Destroy their altars, break their statues and cut down their groves (consecrated to their idols). Adore not any strange god. The Lord his name is jealous, he is a jealous God” (Ex. 34, 13:13)

- “If Any Man Come to You And Bring Not This Doctrine (Catholic doctrine), Receive Him Not Into The House.” (Note: This order is not a lack of charity but due to caution). (2 Jn. 1:10).

How, then, does the Pope participated in this video where it is said exactly the opposite to God's Word and where it is proclaimed, furthermore, that it does not matter which side the mountain is climbed on (symbol of life towards Eternity) and that all religions must help each other to "arrive" (sic) at the same time to the summit (it is implicitly understood that this means Heaven), as it is EXPLICITLY indicated that it is necessary to honor ALL false religions?

- “Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. As for you, let that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If that abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning, you also shall abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise which he hath promised us, life everlasting” (1 Jn. 2:22-26).

- St. Athanasius (fourth century): "Everyone who wants to be saved, above all must maintain the Catholic faith; And he who does not keep it whole and inviolable, will surely perish forever.”

Protestantization in the Church

"I also saw worldly and Protestant ecclesiastics in Germany expressing wishes and forming plans for the fusion of religions and for the suppression of papal authority.
And this plan had its promoters among the prelates in Rome! "(AA.III.179)
Visions and Revelations of Ana Catalina Emmerich.

PROTESTANTIZATION IN THE CHURCH

The following are eleven of the steps that have been taken in the process of Protestantization of the Church. They are not the only ones, but some of the most important ones. Naturally, according to the promise of Christ, there will always be a healthy part of the Church that will remain true and completely Catholic and will reject the protestantization that they seek to impose. Everything indicates that the general apostasy announced in the Holy Scripture is in a very advanced process. Notwithstanding all this, we know by faith that eventually the Church will triumph.

1.- Six Protestant pastors were allowed to collaborate with Archbishop Anibal Bugnini (later accused of being a Mason and exiled as a diplomat pro-nuncio in Iran for the same reason) in the elaboration of the new rite of Mass (imposed in 1969) from which it was suppressed the Catholic theology which bothered the so-called "separated brothers”, and a new rite was created which, according to Cardinal Bacci and Cardinal Ottaviani (Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith), "departs dramatically as a whole and in detail from the Catholic theology of the Holy Mass as formulated by the 20th session of the Council of Trent which, by fixing the ‘canons’ of the rite, raised an insurmountable barrier against any heresy that could infringe upon the integrity of the Mystery.”
2. After this, several Protestant pastors declared to be able to "celebrate" their Dinner with the same rite of the new Mass as the theological obstacles that this secular rite (the traditional Mass) presented against their heresies had disappeared. Bishop Bugnini acknowledges that the liturgical reform was carried out with an "ecumenical" intention to please Protestants.
3.- From November 1969 onwards it was prohibited (against all Law, since it was never abolished) IN THE PRACTICE the celebration of the Traditional Mass with people, and those who celebrate it are persecuted, harassed and / or punished.
4. In the last decades, in contravention of the traditional doctrine as well as the dispositions of Pius XI (encyclical Mortalium Animos), multiple ecumenical acts, like those made in Assisi, have been carried out.
5. – It was spread in the Church the extremely serious mistake that the Protestant sects are also ways of salvation and that they make up (together with the Orthodox and Catholics) the Church of Christ, thus ignoring the dogmatic truth (which was always preached by the Church) that indicates that the only Church of Christ is the Catholic Church and this is the only true way of salvation.
6.- Until 2007, after three pontificates, Benedict XVI recognized that the traditional rite of the Mass was never abolished and that any priest has the right to use it. Nevertheless, many bishops - contrary to all Law - continue to avoid it in their dioceses and excluding those who attempt to celebrate it.
7. In October 2016, a statue of Luther presided over the papal audience. There a group of Protestants delivered a luxurious book with the theses of Luther to Pope Francis who received it smiling and gratefully.
8.- Days later, Pope Francis went to Sweden to pay homage to Luther and to commemorate - with the Lutherans - the (badly called) Protestant Reformation. He refers to the blasphemous heresiarch with these words in the Lutheran cathedral of Lund: "Luther found that merciful God in the Good News of Jesus Christ" (31-X-16). There he signed a Declaration that says: "We are deeply grateful for the spiritual and theological gifts received through the (Lutheran) Reformation."
9. On the eve of the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, the Pontifical Council for the Union of Christians issued a document on the new relations between Catholics and Lutherans. There we learned that "Separating what is controversial from the good things of the Reformation, Catholics are now able to lend their ears to Luther's challenges to today’s Church, recognizing him as a “witness of the gospel.”
10. In January 2017, Francis stated that, according to him, the intention of Martin Luther, five hundred years ago, "was to renew the Church, not to divide it" and that "at the same time we have alive in our hearts the sincere repentance [Sic] for our sins [Sic]”. And he congratulated Cardinal Kurt Koch (see video below), president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, for his article in L'Osservatore Romano, where he noted: "(Luther) had in mind the renewal of the whole Christianity in the spirit of the Gospel ... in the Second Vatican Council, Martin Luther would have ‘found his own council’”. In 2012, when Koch still spoke as a Catholic, said that the Church would not celebrate Luther's schism in 2017 because the Church "cannot celebrate a sin."
11.- The Holy See announced that it will create a postal stamp with the figure of the heresiarch to commemorate the 500 years of his schism (which it improperly calls "Reformation"). Surely we will see acceleration of this process of protestantization in 2017, on the occasion of this "commemoration." It is rumored that if the door to sacrilege has already been opened so that - in certain cases - the divorced living in an adulterous union can receive Communion, the same door will also be opened to Protestants without having to convert.

There is much talk of "mercy", but sanctions and threats have already begun for those who oppose sacrilege and the protestantization of the Church. In fact, giving Communion to the divorced living in a new union is a significant step in that direction and an endorsement of Protestant customs. Thus, on January 16, the bishop of Pereira, Colombia, Rigoberto Corredor, suspended priest Luis Carlos Uribe Medina a divinis for rejecting the heterodox pastoral care derived from "Amoris Laetitia" (exhortation whose theses were already written 10 years ago by the Argentine priest Víctor Manuel Fernández, good friend of the then cardinal Bergoglio and that were transcribed after two useless and onerous synods, being that the theses were already predetermined). On the other hand, Bishop Mario Grech of the Diocese of Gozo, Malta, is saying that he will strip all priests of their priestly faculties if they do not follow their new guidelines (which state that: "If ... a separated or divorced person who is living in a new relationship can ... recognize and believe that he or she is at peace with God, cannot be excluded from participation in the sacraments of Confession and Eucharist"), which contradict the dogmatic and immutable doctrine of the Church and the immovable discipline intimately derived from it, established in Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law, which orders that "those who obstinately persist in a manifest grave sin should not be admitted to Holy Communion." This judgment is based on the objective situation of the couple, called external jurisdiction, and is completely independent of their subjective feeling of guilt, which is part of what is called the internal jurisdiction.

As can be seen, persecution and invalid canonical sanctions are intended to be applied again, as when the same process was unjustly carried out with those who defended the traditional Mass and persevered in celebrating a rite that remained in force (decreed in perpetuity by Saint Pius V), as many years later Benedict XVI would recognize.

The process of protestantization is progressively accelerating, in fact in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and in the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, even though they retain their holders, they have made redundant – (on 2016) those elements that were opposed to this process. The same happened with Cardinal Burke for objecting in the synods that the Eucharist was sacrilegiously bestowed upon the divorced living in new unions. For this reason he was discharged as Prefect of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura and banished from Rome as patron of the Sovereign Order of Malta to which the Holy See also threatened as they did with the Franciscans of the Immaculate who had become "too" traditional.

Everything points to the beginning of the great apostasy. Those who realize this thank God and ask Him for the grace to remain faithful until the end, for during this process the number of deserters will be large and, abhorring what they believed, they will even imagine doing so in the name of God. Many of the faithful and clerics have already become modernists and have protestantized themselves (to a greater or lesser degree) without even noticing it, for when someone has been living for a long time in the midst of bad smells, stops noticing them. That process will be gradual and inadvertent , like that of the frog that dies boiled because the water in which it is in, heats gradually. Scripture prophesies that this apostasy will be universal. That is, only a few will keep faith and fidelity to the Catholic Church. It will be a true grace of God and an effect of their prayers and of their strong and good will, for they must overcome a thousand temptations (among them: social pressure, intellectual pride, self-judgment, rebellion to God under the pretext of obedience to authority - which is the master blow of Satan - fatigue in the struggle, etc.) that the Evil One will put in front of them to divert them. Let us be alert and pray much to preserve that whole faith and to defend catholicity.

Let us always keep in mind Saint Paul's warning: "But if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preached to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be ANATHEMA" Galatians 1: 8.

Come, Lord Jesus.

COMMENT TO THE VIDEO:
The Truth and the error are not in parity to "rediscover" anything. The Catholic Church has the whole of the Gospel; it is heresy that must cease in order to truly come to Christ and discover Him in His entirety. Not making heretics see this is gravely contrary to the charity that must watch over the salvation of their souls. The mission of the Church is to save souls and to make them see with charity the wrongs of their mistakes and to preach to them the immutable Truth that has as a divine deposit, attracting them to the true and unique Church of Christ: the Catholic founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ on the rock of Peter. The order of Christ was, "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to ALL CREATURES: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16: 15-16). But now, contrary to this, in the name of false ecumenism it is said that all proselytism is outlawed.

The Great Apostasy

  • “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing anymore but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.” (Mt. 5, 13)
  • “Can the blind lead the blind? Do they not both fall into the ditch?” (Lk. 6, 39)
  • Without the predominant apostasy of the clergy, there would be no such thing as the universal apostasy prophesied in the Word of God.

If in certain cases, Communion is allowed to divorced faithful who have remarried, therefore living publicly in sin (Amoris Laetitia), if the sacraments are given to those who have decided to apply euthanasia by attacking - as homicidal - against their life*, more and more the doors will be opened to other sacrileges - in other cases of grave offenses against the Commandments of God - of those who live in constant mortal sin, without repenting or changing their lives and receive Communion unworthily. It begins by opening a crack to the doctrinal heresy against the Word of God and the abominable sacrilegious practice, and then opening it more and more until, finally, it is totally open. To complete the betrayal, they will end up offering the Body of Christ not only to hardened sinners but also to those who do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety. It is the new betrayal of Christ that leads to the general apostasy prophesied in the Holy Scriptures. Christ said: "When I return to the earth, do you think I will find faith?" Lk 18,8.

Will you allow yourself dear friend-reader to be guided by the blind who, in such a case, will lead you to the eternal precipice? There are blind guides who sin by omission (those who remain silent and tolerate) and some who sin by action (those who promote and approve of heresy and sacrilege). Both participate, in different ways, in this new betrayal of Christ. Therefore they only speak of "mercy" (without need of repentance, purpose of amendment, Confession and penance) and little or nothing of sin, nor of Hell for those who die unrepentant in their grave sins.

* NOTE: The new and sacrilegious pastoral directives of the Canadian Dioceses of the Atlantic allow - without any right - for priests to give Communion, Extreme Unction and absolve from their sins those who intend to commit suicide with medical assistance, according to Canadian law. The decision will be taken by each priest, after a "pastoral meeting" with the interested party and his family.

The Silent Bell and the Fate of the Frog

The Silent Bell and the Fate of the Frog

By Oscar Méndez Casanueva

A french philosopher, when looking back at his childhood, remembered that there used to be in his town a small convent, which by the daily ringing of a small bell made itself present. Over the years, the bell stopped ringing. One day he found out, to his surprise, that the bell had never stopped chiming, what really happened was that the town had grown and was swallowed by “modernity” and noise.

Certainly, something very similar happens in man’s heart. The voice of God and his grace, which we could hear and live so clearly during our childhood, are buried progressively under all the bustle and difficulties we encounter in our adult lives, especially in a world so rationalistic and petulant.

This process begins during adolescence, and gain its strength during our youth. Behind it there is an alienating machinery which contributes to the formation of homogeneous mentalities that distance man from God under the pretext of a non-religious formation – which, is really an atheist formation – and a “scientifistic” tendency. Never has it been truer that a little science takes one away from God; much and real science get the creature closer to its Creator.

Schools and universities spread knowledge and techniques, but they forget about the spirit and the axiological formation of man. They do not have a scale of values, and not only that, but what is even worse: they ridicule and mock the highest moral values and label all religious beliefs as superstitious.

And the media is not better. The great majority use the old tactic of two steps forward and one step backward, with the aim of eliminating Catholicism permanently.

Film and television, with their great influence on the creation of criteria and mentalities, have formed entire generations of hedonists without an intellectual judgment. Sex, violence, comfort and corruption, in all their different forms, bombard their passive receptors.

And that without mentioning the videos, magazines and “stories” – especially aimed at the most popular sectors – where vulgarity has reached, over the past few years, unlimited proportions. And, also, the every cruder and despicable pornography, which can be found in an overwhelming number of households – within reach of children and adults – via Internet.

This whole program of “decatholicization” that strikes ever more rapidly the entire population, creates a society without values, drifted away from God and unconcerned with counteracting against this offensive that currently takes up the banner of “gender ideology”. What is amazing is that this same society, which complains so much about the corruption and uncontrollable crime it suffers, not only does not act, but cannot even begin to guess the real root of all its evils. Indeed, society is suffering the same fate of the frog: it is said that if this animal is put in a pot with very hot water, it will immediately jump out trying to escape. Instead, if it is put in a pot with cold water and the water gets hot little by little, over low heat, the frog will stay there calmly, until it is boiled to death.

Exaclty the same has happened with the decatholicization of our society, which is living the fate of the frog.

Such an alienating social process that takes man away from the transcendental truth, and causes him to forget, if not even ignore, his ultimate goal, can only be explained by a sum of manipulated and broken wills, but which nevertheless are guilty because of their acts of rejection of God. Because while it is true that it is a great gift of God to believe in Him in the first place, to persevere in faith above all the difficulties present in the world we live in today, is also an immense gift.

While faith and faithfulness to God and His Church are a gift of God, they also come from a personal determination. He who does not want to believe cannot believe. He who wants to believe, will only be able to do so if he receives this grace from Above. God never denies this gift to those who ask for it and wish it truthfully, but He refuses to give it to those who, in the depths of their reality, do not seek it really. The grace of faith can happen in an instant, like a spark, but the grace of perseverance must be earned through daily prayer and effort. Otherwise, when the soul shuts down – to some extent – to God, faith may be lost, even if it is by denying one single article of the Creed. God is zealous: all or nothing, because He does not compromise.

It is the tragedy of all tragedies that of the unfaithful man who loses God and the sense of the supernatural. His is an internal world that, on the one hand, he tries to disguise as sufficiency before everyone else, and on the other hand, tries to fill it with things that mitigate that desolation and emptiness. And he seeks to silence this tragedy using thousands of means: money, honors, power, knowledge, art, etc.

Finally, mature faith is an internal and supernatural perception of the reality believed. It means to live the truths that once were “only believed”. It is deep, vital and impossible to be confused with merely intellectual convictions. It is the faith that makes the martyrs give their lives for Christ, or the missionaries work until exhaustion, forgetting about themselves in order to evangelize others.

It is therefore necessary to reflect on all this: How many of us have stopped hearing that clear voice of God that we could hear in our childhood, just as happened with the bell of the convent in that small town? Those experiences, the love of God, the unique experience of our First Communion - so intimate and real - the study of our religion… what happened to that? Did we forget to continue our instruction as adults, and now feel that the teachings we received in our childhood are not enough? Did we get swallowed by doubts, noise, endeavors, skepticism, “modernity”, and stopped hearing the voice of God, forgetting that the grace of perseverance is gained through our daily effort and prayer? Finally: Are we meekly waiting for the water to heat slowly until we are boiled to death like the frog? This is, indeed, a sad fate, and yet it is not even close to that last and transcendental fate that those who reject God suffer!

The only effective solution

That what is profane is also mundane, that is, everything that distances from the spiritual and higher issues. Holiness is the life of sanctifying grace in our souls. We are all called to be saints, to live in God’s grace, so that, one day we may reach eternal bliss together with our Creator. Many believe that holiness lies only in the heroic practice of the virtues, however, anyone who lives in a state of grace is already leading a saintly life. Holiness is not something unattainable.

Sanctification is a process through which the believer, who accepts and keeps intact the faith that he/her has received, grows steadily in holiness by the continuous action of the Holy Ghost, which begins with his/her incorporation to the Church through the Sacrament of Baptism, and extends until death. Holiness implies getting away from everything that is sinful, and that contaminates both the body and soul, also, behaving in a saintly manner in all aspects of our life and in our relationships with others, getting away from evil and dedicating our entire life, within our means, to God and to serve Him faithfully. The frequent use of the Sacraments, prayer, penance, and the practice of the virtues will increase this process.

Saint Paul tells us: “Therefore, brethren, stand fast in the faith: and hold the traditions, or doctrines, which you have learned.” (2 Thessalonians 2:14) and he also states: “But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end life everlasting.” (Romans 6:22).

Therefore, the real solution is to convert to God, adjusting our hearts and will to God’s will, and refraining from making the Church worldly or adapting her to the world, which is one of the enemies of our souls, together with the flesh and the devil. The Divine teaching and the deposit of Faith must not be adapted to the criteria and currents of the world, instead we must turn our hearts to God and accept and follow His doctrine and laws. G. K. Chesterton said: “The Church must move the world, rather than moving with the world.” Let us transform hearts instead of deforming the Church!

By standing fast in the faith we have received and acting in keeping with it, one day we will attain the joy of living with God eternally. Therein lies the only and true solution.

False Churches = False Religions

Pope Francis intends to participate in a joint ceremony between the Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation on October 31, 2016, date on which it is celebrated the arguable, and for some people, mythical event where the Catholic ex priest Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis against the Catholic Church on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, who in 2012 had declared, with reference to the Anniversary of the Reformation, that there was nothing to celebrate, for “we cannot celebrate a sin”, and then in 2014 reiterated once again the same truth, has now adapted to the new times and stated that: “By concentrating together on the centrality of the question of God and on a Christocentric approach, Lutherans and Catholics will have the possibility of an ecumenical commemoration of the Reformation, not simply in a pragmatic way, but in the deep sense of faith in the crucified and resurrected Christ."

While the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ, true God and true man, in A.D. 33, in the day of Pentecost (Matthew 16: 18-19 and Acts 2), all the false religions that separated from her through schism and heresy were sects created by man. Such is the case of the heretical German monk, who died hating the Church from which he had separated, and dragged countless souls by creating his own sect, from which, in turn, thousands of other sects would be invented (because the Truth is ONE and only whereas error is plural).

In 1883, Blessed Sister Maria Serafina Micheli (1849-1911) had an apparition while praying: Her Guardian Angel appeared to her and said: “I want you to see where Martin Luther is in Hell and the pain he suffers as a punishment for his pride.” After these words, she saw a terrible abyss of fire where Luther was tormented. As at that time it was being celebrated in Saxony the 400th anniversary of the heresiarch’s birth, the sister thought that if people saw the dramatic scene that she had seen they would neither honor nor commemorate and celebrate such an evil character. She was convinced that Martin Luther was being punished in Hell especially for the first deadly sin of pride, which caused him to commit a mortal sin and led him to open rebellion against the Catholic Church. His behavior, his attitude towards the Church, and his preaching were crucial to encourage and bring many unwary and superficial souls to eternal ruin and wrong.

For his part, Fr. Stefano Manelli, founder of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, has remarked, in Il Settimanale di Padre Pio (January 20, 2013) that Padre Pio thought the same way about Luther being in Hell, and warned that those who think they can speak directly with God, as Luther did, were also on the way to Hell. Luther's end was horrible and frightening, Fr. Manelli writes based on what Padre Pio said, but this will also be the same history of many Christians and Catholics who believe in the teachings of Luther, he adds.

There is no reason to celebrate the separation of the false churches from the one and only Church of Christ. Is error and leading thousands and thousands outside the path of salvation a cause of joy and celebration? Are people to celebrate now, in the name of a false ecumenism that does not convert anyone, the main anniversaries and feasts of these false religions, and with that their betrayal to Christ?

With all due respect, and without judging anyone’s inner intentions, it has to be said that this event is inconceivable and unbelievable. Never, in the history of the Church, has there been a Pope who thought of accepting something so implausible.

Down below there is a chart that contains all the false sects that call themselves “Christians”. Following the logic above-mentioned, the same should be done for all the other sects so to avoid them feeling discriminated against.

RECEIVING COMMUNION WITHOUT GOING TO CONFESSION?

EMPTY CONFESSIONALS

By Oscar Méndez Casanueva

Saint Paul warns us in the following divinely inspired passage: “He that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.” (1 Co. 11:29).

That is why it is necessary to have a soul cleansed from all sin to receive Christ. Thus, Confession is necessary, too, for anyone conscious of being in a state of mortal sin. Receiving the body and blood of Christ in Communion without being forgiven first through the sacrament of Confession is a most grave sin called sacrilege. Anyone who is in a state of mortal sin or who is not in a state of sanctifying grace (which is attained by personal absolution in the Sacramental Confession), and lives in such a state without going to Confession or confessing wrongly, without true repentance and intention of avoiding sin; (i.e. without contrition and purpose of amendment) and dares to receive Holy Communion, is “eating and drinking his own damnation”.

Those who do not believe in or obey the morals taught by the Catholic Church and those who do not desire to follow the moral laws that God demands and the Magisterium guards, should not, under any pretext, receive the Holy Eucharist.

Therefore, it is essential to be in the state of sanctifying grace to receive Communion. How important it is for us to live in God’s grace and to receive Communion frequently! But just as important it is to do it complying with the necessary requirements and with great love of God, being aware that it is precisely God whom we are receiving in the consecrated Host. Let us receive our Creator and Redeemer for what He is: Our God and Savior, our King and Lord.

It is very sad to see how many people live conformed to the world and in a way that is contrary to the Law of God, and without changing their lifestyle nor going to Confession, they receive the living God, present in the Host, without discernment of what they are doing and regardless of what God has to say about it, only for appearances’ sake. It is the wretched ‘modernism’ that has pervaded them, it is the lack of awareness of what it means to receive God, it is the desire of remaining living in their errors and in their life of sin, believing in a false and ‘soft’ God made to their state and convenience.

How sad it is, too, to see that many ‘modernist’ priests no longer teach this Catholic doctrine and through their silence become accomplices in the sacrilege. There is in them a great amount of guilt and God will hold them accountable for that. The ignorance of some faithful will be a mitigating factor (when it is not culpable ignorance), but this will not be the case for priests, who are well-instructed but choose to remain silent in order to accommodate with the world or due to having a weak faith or lack of pastoral zeal and scarce love for the sheep entrusted to them.

There is an urgent need for priests to teach and talk again about this very much forgotten or even unknown doctrine, especially amongst the new generations. If no one follows it anymore, would it be so hard for them to remind it to us, albeit briefly, in every liturgical celebration?

It is contrasting to see so many communicants and so many empty confessionals. Are they really in a state of grace without having to go to Confession first? Without attempting to intrude on anyone’s conscience, this does not add up and it shows us the tremendous reality and significance of this fact. Or, can it really be possible for someone to live for years and years without committing a single mortal sin? This can certainly be the case for some good souls, but how many good souls are there? Only God knows the answer to that question. Even if this were the case for some people, they need to remember the precept of going to Sacramental Confession at least once a year. Or perhaps, all of those who have not gone to Confession for months or even for years have their conscience clean from any mortal sin so that they can assume they are in a state of grace to receive Christ alive and truly present in the Eucharist? Maybe all those priests who are not routinely available anymore at the confessionals contribute to this evil.

On the part of many priests: Omission of teaching this doctrine in addition to very little or no time at all in the confessionals.

On the part of a great number of faithful: Little instruction, which generates, in many cases, culpable ignorance. In other cases, a terrible neglect for matters concerning God and a life in accordance with the maxims of the world, accommodating moral laws and God and the Church’s teachings with their own whims and personal criteria. All the aforementioned lead to sacrilegious Communion, which makes them eat and drink their own damnation.

In both instances: A multitude receiving Communion and the confessionals… empty!

THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION IN ROME

A SACRILEGIOUS ACT IN THE VATICAN

The Council of Florence decrees that the Church: “Firmly believes, professes, and proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics cannot become participants in eternal life, but will depart “into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels” [Matt. 25:41], unless before the end of life the same have been added to the flock*; and that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that only to those remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for salvation, and do fastings, almsgiving, and other functions of piety and exercises of Christian service produce eternal reward, and that no one, whatever almsgiving he has practiced, even if he has shed blood for the name of Christ, can be saved, unless he has remained in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.” (Denz 714).

Before discussing this news, we have waited a sufficient period of time, as it is our custom in such cases, waiting for any clarification on the part of the Holy See, or a papal censure of the terrible incidents that took place in the Vatican, which we will mention here. Unfortunately, neither one thing nor the other has happened. Only the director of the Catholic Information Center of the Diocese of Helsinki (Finland) has issued a release in which he reminds that only Catholics who are in a state of grace may receive the Catholic Sacrament of the Eucharist, he also states that “not every person distributing the Holy Eucharist knows every point of teaching and practice of the Church so well that mistakes won’t happen.”, referring to the events.

So, what happened in the Vatican?

Some Catholic priests offered Holy Communion to a group of Finnish Lutherans at a Mass held in the Vatican, following a meeting of the group with Pope Francis. After the personal audience with the Pope, the delegation was present at a celebration of the Catholic Mass. According to the Lutheran “bishop” (let us remember that they are not really bishops, but ordinary people, since they do not have Apostolic Succession), Samuel Salmi, who was present at the time of Communion, the non-Catholics placed their right hands on their left shoulders, a traditional way of indicating that they did not meet the requirements to receive the Eucharist (i.e. being Catholic, having Catholic Faith in the Eucharist, and being in a state of sanctifying grace after having gone to Confession). However, the priest or priests that were celebrating the Mass insisted on giving them Communion, and so the Lutherans agreed.

Lutheran delegation in Rome headed by Samuel Salmi
This means that the Catholic priests forced the Body of Christ on those who not only do not belong to the Catholic Church, but also deny the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist as well as transubstantiation. Furthermore, they were exempted from a requirement that every Catholic must comply with in order to receive Communion (otherwise, it would be a sacrilege): the state of sanctifying grace maintained since the last good Confession, and Lutherans neither believe in nor practice the Sacrament of Penance.

The Lutheran “bishop” Samuel Salmi told the newspaper Kotimaa 24 that at the insistence of the celebrant or celebrants (he does not specify how many they were): “I myself accepted it [Holy Communion] and considers the fact, just like Protestants, as an “ecumenical progress”. Salmi was visiting the Vatican as the head of a delegation that included a youth choir that was to perform there (see picture above).

The Catholic Ministers Administer the Sacraments Legally Only to Catholic Faithful

The Catholic Church teaches that only to those remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for salvation (Council of Florence. Denz. 714). In addition, it is necessary to have faith in what is being received, and Lutherans do not believe that Christ is truly present with His body, His blood, His soul, and His divinity in the consecrated Host, since they deny transubstantiation. Why are they invited to receive something in which they do not believe and to commit such a sacrilegious act? All of the above added to the fact that they had not received the Sacrament of Penance before, in which they do not believe either. This caused the Abomination of Desolation at the very heart of the Church.

They cannot use, in an attempt to justify what has happened, the crack that unfortunately opened during the pontificate of Pope Paul VI, which was a disposition only to be used in “extraordinary” cases (applicable only to a few non-Catholics, mainly Orthodox, who do believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ, and under very specific and precise conditions), that also contravenes what was established in the Council of Florence and everything done and said by the Church for the past 2,000 years. This disposition was wisely rejected mainly by the very Orthodox (non-Catholics). Every door open enough to allow the entrance of error ends up opening completely, as is now the case. It is the inevitable consequence of error.

Nor can they invoke the principle of one faith, because Lutherans do not believe in the Real Presence to start with, and even if they did it could still be applicable unto them what was stated by the Council of Trent: “lf any one saith, that faith alone is a sufficient preparation for receiving the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist; let him be anathema.”

In that same Council we are reminded that: “No one, conscious to himself of mortal sin, how contrite soever he may seem to himself, ought to approach to the sacred Eucharist without previous Sacramental Confession.” Otherwise they would be receiving Him “unworthily, and so unto death and condemnation.” And “if any one shall presume to teach, preach, or obstinately to assert, or even in public disputation to defend the contrary, he shall be thereupon excommunicated.” In fact, the Sacred Council is only reiterating the doctrine established in the Word of God, which was duly explained by Saint Paul. In the First Letter to the Corinthians we read: “Therefore, whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord… For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.” (11: 27-29)

Therefore, if Lutherans do not believe in the Sacrament of Penance, they were exempted from a law that has been imposed upon everyone who wishes to receive Communion. Or are they going to say that a non-Catholic is exempted from what it is demanded of a Catholic? If that were the case, then the condition of non-Catholic would be better, and that is completely absurd. Furthermore, the Council of Trent teaches dogmatically the following: “If any one denieth, either that sacramental confession was instituted, or is necessary to salvation, of divine right… let him be anathema.” (Denz. 916). And that “If any one saith, that, in the sacrament of Penance, it is not necessary, of divine right, for the remission of sins, to confess ALL and SINGULAR the mortal sins, which after due and diligent previous meditation are remembered, even those (mortal sins) which are secret… as also the circumstances which change the species of a sin; let him be anathema.” (Denz. 917).

More than a week has gone by, and the Holy See has remained silent about this most grievous sacrilege committed at the very heart of the Church, and it has not disciplined the person/persons who encouraged it either. Unbelievable! The world ought to have been outraged in the face of such a barbaric desecration of the Body of Christ handed over sacrilegiously, however, other than the statements provided by the Diocese of Helsinki, there was no official comment and no one was reprimanded or severely sanctioned. Why!?

The ingenuous apology from the Diocese of Helsinki claiming that “Not every person distributing the Holy Eucharist knows every point of teaching and practice of the Church so well that mistakes won’t happen”, is ridiculous and it does not excuse anything.

Father Amorth was certainly right in saying that: “The smoke of Satan has entered everywhere. Everywhere! Perhaps we were excluded from the audience with the Pope because they were afraid that such a large number of exorcists might succeed in chasing out the legions.” (Click HERE).

Indeed, there may not be a great substantial difference between this “present” and the one that Judas gave to the Supreme Pontiffs; a gift that dishonored both grantor and receiver. In the case of sacrilegious Communion, the grantors made the receptors eat judgment to themselves, who in turn accepted the gift without believing in it and knowing that they were unworthy of receiving it, as they themselves initially recognized it.

This whole situation serves as a reminder of the important words of Jesus Christ: “But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8)

Forgive us for these offenses and sacrilegious acts, and come soon, Lord!

*Note: It should be recalled that there are some extraordinary cases (invincible ignorance) of those who belong to the soul of the Church and could attain salvation through her (for more information on this topic and what the doctrine of the Church teaches about this subject, click HERE)

SAINT PAUL’S REBUKE TO THE FIRST POPE IN ANTIOCH

The Pharisees, who had converted to Christianity and were of Jewish origin, argued that the Mosaic Law should be maintained (the Jewish law was a compendium of legal regulations that should not be confused with the Ten Commandments of God’s law, which summarize natural law). The Council of Jerusalem, headed by Saint Peter, determines that all gentiles converted to Christianity should not embrace the prescriptions of the Mosaic Law (however, they do have to adhere to the Commandments of God’s law, as these are of a natural law and were given by God Himself).

The aforementioned can be read in the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 15: “And some coming down from Judea, taught the brethren: That except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved.” That is why the Council of Jerusalem took place. “But there arose some of the sect of the Pharisees that believed, saying: They must be circumcised, and be commanded to observe the law of Moses.” But Saint Peter refutes this opinion and determines the opposite with these words: “But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also.” In the same sense, James added: “I judge that they, who from among the Gentiles are converted to God, are not to be disquieted.”

As can be noted, the Council of Jerusalem defines that salvation comes from faith in Jesus Christ and not from the practice of the Jewish law that, as we have said earlier, should not be confused with God’s law established in the Ten Commandments, which must be observed to attain eternal salvation, for the Bible itself teaches that “Faith without work is dead” (James, chapter 2) (see note 1). Therefore, good deeds, in accordance with the natural law and summarized by divine revelation in the Ten Commandments, are necessary for Faith to be alive, and thus with the combination of faith and good deeds we can attain eternal salvation. However, the prescriptions of the Jewish Law are not necessary for salvation, as the Pharisees who had converted to Christianity erroneously argued. The first Council of the Church takes a stand against their opinion.

In the same vein of the Council of Jerusalem, Saint Paul says: “For I, through the law, am dead to the law, that I may live to God.” (Ga. 2:19). The Jewish law is a PREPARATION that leads to Jesus Christ, who is the end of the law. Thanks to that same law, we were freed from it by the death of Christ: His merits are applied to us by the Grace, as if we were nailed to the cross with Him and dead to that Jewish law.

Some time later, in Antioch, Saint Peter agrees, only IN PRACTICE, and maybe due to human prudence and in good faith, with the Judaizers (that is to say, those who advocated for keeping the Jewish law). This action contradicted what had been established by the Council of Jerusalem. In practice, he proceeded against the doctrine defined by the Church (included Saint Peter as a Pope).

As doctrine prevails over practice, Saint Paul, who was Saint Peter’s subordinate, withstood him to the face for not following the way and truth of the Gospel. Saint Peter admitted his mistake and agreed with Saint Paul, acting with great humility and accepting that an inferior could not only depart from an erred action of his superior but even rebuke him; that is to refute his error out of love for the truth of the Gospel.

Let us quote the most important things of this event, narrated by Saint Paul himself:
“But when Cephas (Saint Peter) was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that some came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them who were of the circumcision. And to his dissimulation the rest of the Jews consented, so that Barnabas also was led by them into that dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly unto the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all: If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles, and not as the Jews do, how dost thou compel the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? We by nature are Jews, and not of the Gentiles sinners. But knowing that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ; we also believe in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” (Ga. 2: 11-16)

Saint Paul reminds to Saint Peter that Christians are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and not by acting in accordance with the prescriptions of the Jewish law, as defined by the Council of Jerusalem. It is evident that Saint Paul is talking about the Jewish law (and not about the Ten Commandments). The latter is withheld by some conniving Protestants, who also suppress Saint James’ biblical passage about the necessity of both, good works and faith to be saved, and not only of faith, as it is proposed by the Protestant heresy, which also dishonestly quotes the previous text as though it referred to the Ten Commandments. In this manner, they deceive by suppressing the texts that do not suit them, and interpreting the other ones outside of their historical context. That is why the incident in Antioch must be necessarily related to what was defined by the Council of Jerusalem. What Saint Paul demands is the observance of the doctrine as defined in the mentioned Council.

About this incident, Saint Thomas points out that Saint Paul’s confrontation was in regard to THE EXERCISE and not the authority of the power, and that Saint Peter was reprehensible due to his dissimulation and disordered fear, which led him to abandon the truth and follow the deceit of the faithful. He does not consider the cause of the rebuke to be something minor, but rather fair and convenient. If this had not been done, the knowledge of the truth of the Gospel would have been in danger, and had Gentiles been forced to keep the legal precepts of the Jewish law, this truth would have perished. Saint Thomas also notes that Saint Peter’s dissimulation constituted a danger to everyone and, for that reason, it was convenient for Saint Paul’s rebuke to be public and manifest.

For his part, Saint Augustine observes in his letter to Saint Jerome (letter LXXXII-CXVI-22) the following: “Paul, therefore, as a faithful steward doubtless is to be regarded as approving his fidelity in his writings; for he was a steward of truth, not of falsehood. Therefore, he wrote the truth when he wrote that he had seen Peter walking not uprightly, according to the truth of the gospel, and that he had withstood him to the face because he was compelling the Gentiles to live as the Jews did. And Peter himself received, with the holy and loving humility which became him, the rebuke which Paul, in the interests of truth, and with the boldness of love, administered. Therein Peter left to those that came after him an example, that, if at any time they deviated from the right path, they should not think it beneath them to accept correction from those who were their juniors,— an example more rare, and requiring greater piety, than that which Paul's conduct on the same occasion left us, that those who are younger should have courage even to withstand their seniors if the defense of evangelical truth required it, yet in such a way as to preserve unbroken brotherly love. For while it is better for one to succeed in perfectly keeping the right path, it is a thing much more worthy of admiration and praise to receive admonition meekly, than to admonish a transgressor boldly. On that occasion, therefore, Paul was to be praised for upright courage, Peter was to be praised for holy humility.”

Let us not forget that whenever a Pope, complying with all the requirements necessary, defines a doctrine regarding faith or morals, is indeed infallible. That is why pastoral matters are not infallible, but doctrines that have been defined by the Catholic Church are. If the former contradicts the latter, it should not be followed, as defined doctrine must always prevail.

Doctrine Prevails Over Practice

The main teaching about the incident in Antioch is the following: a doctrine that has been defined (which is the infallible and revealed truth) always prevails over acting against it, even if this was carried out by the most important person of the Church. The doctrine is superior to the practice.

Finally, let us not forget that Saint Paul (inferior to the Pope) confronts Saint Peter (first Pope), but always with due respect and as a SUBORDINATE. The fact that Saint Paul was right did not entitle him to confront without respect the head of the Church. He does it publicly and face to face because Saint Peter’s error was public, but always with respect and acting as his SUBJECT. Moreover, Saint Paul’s rebuke was not to defend a personal opinion of his, but in defense of the truth of the Gospel. In this way, Saint Paul’s example sets a precedent and is always worth following in similar cases.

Note 1:
The Word of God teaches that: “FAITH without WORK is dead” (James, chapter 2), and asserts that the devils, that are eternally condemned, “believe and tremble”, for Faith is not enough to be saved, both are necessary; faith and good works are essential for salvation.
