PHARISEE OR PUBLICAN?

"The more religious a man is, the less he desires to show off his religiosity, to pray loudly or to sound trumpets -and to invite journalists- when he gives alms. The great modesty that prevents us from showing what is best in us comes from the fear of handling that ruins everything. When a man has extraordinary gifts, he has a great desire to appear like an ordinary man, at least religiously.”
