The most important work of the Church

 The most important work of the Church is the celebration of the sacraments and proclamation of the Gospel, through which souls are saved. Nothing can ever be placed above this. And every serious Catholic must likewise hold the sacraments above all else — for to neglect them is to risk the grave loss of being cut off from Christ.
