TE DEUM 2025

THE SOUL, AT THE START OF A NEW YEAR, RISES LIKE INCENSE TO ITS CREATOR.

Amid the passing and fading of time, the eternity of God is offered as refuge and destiny. Thus begins our praise:

“TO YOU, O GOD, WE GIVE PRAISE; TO YOU, LORD, WE GIVE CONFESSION.”

IT IS A SONG BORN FROM THE RECOGNITION OF OUR SMALLNESS AND HIS GREATNESS, OF OUR NOTHINGNESS AND HIS FULLNESS.

The One who upholds heaven and earth with a single word invites us to join in the unceasing praise.

“TO YOU, ETERNAL FATHER, ALL THE EARTH GIVES REVERENCE.”

All creation sings His name in silence. The entire universe proclaims His glory, not with words but with the purity of its being. In this 2025, let us learn to praise God with the same simplicity as the heavens and fields, which in their humility bear witness to His greatness.

“TO YOU, THE GLORIOUS CHOIR OF APOSTLES, THE NOBLE ARMY OF MARTYRS, GIVES PRAISE.”

History is woven with the testimony of those who walked before us. The apostles, the martyrs, the saints… all of them proclaimed with their lives what our words struggle to utter. This new year is also for us a time of testimony, a call to live in such a way that our entire being proclaims:

“HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD, GOD OF HOSTS.”

“HEAVEN AND EARTH ARE FULL OF THE MAJESTY OF YOUR GLORY.”

The glory of God is not far; it surrounds us, dwells within us, sustains us. But only the soul purified in silence and surrender can behold it. This year, let us seek that renewed vision that finds the Beloved in the small: in simple bread, in the weight of the cross, in the face of our neighbor.

“TO YOU THE ANGELS AND HEAVENLY POWERS GIVE PRAISE.”

The heavenly praise never ceases. Angels and powers proclaim God’s love unceasingly, for in Him there is no change or shadow of turning. May this 2025 reflect that unbroken praise, a life burning like a living flame, consumed by love.

“THE HOLY CHURCH THROUGHOUT THE EARTH GIVES YOU GLORY.”

We are not alone. The Church, one and holy, joins in our song. In every corner of the world, in every tongue, the people of God proclaim the glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This new year is an invitation to be a living Church, to make our lives an offering, a testimony of faith.

“YOU ARE THE KING OF GLORY, O CHRIST.”

Christ, who reigns from the cross, invites us to follow Him. This year, let us bear our small crosses with love, knowing that in every sacrifice, He awaits us.

“YOU, SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER, WILL COME AS JUDGE.”

Let us not forget that we are walking toward a final encounter with Him. This year must be a time of preparation, of conversion, of purer love. For in the end, we will not be judged by our words but by our love.

“IN YOU I HAVE PLACED MY TRUST, O LORD; I SHALL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME FOREVER.”

The past year ends, and this new one begins with an unshakable certainty: in Him is our hope, and those who trust in the Lord will not be disappointed. May this 2025 be a year of praise, faith, and encounter with eternal Love.
