TODAY, MODERNISM UPHOLDS THIS ERROR AGAINST THE FAITH, WHICH POPE GREGORY XVI DENOUNCED.

Pope Gregory XVI:

“Another cause that has produced many of the evils that afflict the Church is indifferentism, that is, that perverse theory spread everywhere, thanks to the deceptions of the impious, which teaches that eternal life can be obtained in any religion, provided there is rectitude and honesty in one’s conduct.”  [...] If the Apostle says that there is one God, one faith, one baptism, then let those who think that salvation can be found everywhere understand that, according to the Savior's judgment, they are against Christ, for they are not with Christ, and those who do not gather with Christ scatter miserably. Therefore, it is certain that those who do not have the Catholic faith and do not keep it whole and undefiled will perish eternally.
